that's about it but I would do it in Drive and not in L first it could be safer first a toggle switch is really not the best for that a toggle is usually "bouncy" when you press it it could do 3-4 very short on-off contacts because of internal vibrations inside the switch this could be enought sometimes to screw up a microntroller system like the tcm
better check with your local radio-shack first they may have something more appropriate
