134 is an incredible trap speed. Yeah, 10s don't seem like much of a challenge. Just get those tires to hook a little better and you're there. I can't control the power I've got well enough to get a good 60' time, I can't imagine what its like trying to put that much power to the ground.

Nitrous seems to be the most popular power adder due to the fact that forced induction (supercharger/turbo chargers, but you probably know that already) doesn't work real well with the stock compression ratio. Most guys will run high 11s with nitrous, a clutch, exhaust, and an air lid. Put on some headers and slide in a custom ground cam, and you've got deep mid-low 11s. Also the nitrous allows you to skirt around the problem of the weak factory rear end by having the power only presentfor a short time at the track.

With a supercharger or turbocharger and the stock compression ratio, you can safely run only small amounts of boost, like 3 or 4 psi. Even with such a small amount, you can manage numbers around 450 horsepower and 475 ft. lbs. of torque at the wheels, but you need a new rear end and all that stuff, an additional $2,000. If you lower the compression ratio and spend a lot of cash (around $10,000), you'll run large numbers.

The fastest LS1 cars are bored, stroked (increasing their displacement to around 400 ci depending on the amount you want to spend), and have nitrous.

I'm not an expert, this is just what I've observed on LS1.com and LS1tech.com. You can see for yourself what these cars are capable of over on those sites.

These are the fastest cars for the price, but that comes at a price of its own. They put in a clutch that could handle not much more power than stock, same holds true for the rear end. Once you start getting close to 450-500 to the wheels, you've got to start replacing engine internals. They used components that would give you the fastest car under $46,000. The Supra is different. Its stock power levels (at least what I've seen in person) fall short of the LS1's power, but the componants on the car are much more tough. If you want a crusing car that will own the road on the weekend, get a Camaro by all means. If you want a car that will give young boys orgasms while they watch it go down the track or dyno, stick with your Supra.

Here is the LS1.com Top 100 list. http://www.ls1.com/qtrmile1.htm I personally know of one 11 flat head/cam+nitrous LS1 car that will run fast enough to take the 23 spot on that list with traction problems. Not all of the fastest LS1s are reported there. I'm sure the top 100 Supra list is more impressive. There ain't much of an aftermarket for these cars like there is for the Supra.
