Originally posted by Z87RSMan I know yall are FWD but there isn't huge amount of power in the NA cars so I don't really get the super high 60' times. Yes I'm aware I'm RWD but guys, I sat on the line and spun all the way thru 1st without moving pretty much, then dropped into second at 2000rpm and took off as best I could that way and still pulled a 2.6 60'. With a half-decent launch on nearly bald Nitto 555R z-rated street tires at 32psi I cut a 2.1 with nearly 300 lb/ft of torque. What I'm trying to say is don't be sooo judicious with the throttle when you come off the line, learn to feather it and maybe put some slightly thicker rubber on. If you're into the racing aspect, leave the 17 and 18 inch rims at home and get a thicker 15" with a good 225 Z tire for street or invest in some drag radials. I can definitely see some guys getting into the trap speeds needed for a 14 NA but the suspension/tires/practice required is where it's at. Good luck.
On that same note...My SRT-4 ran a 14.39 with a 2.6 60 ft. Hehe, first time ever at the track. I spun all the way through first with some god awful wheel hop.
