Which RS. The original 93-95 had slow 160hp V6s or something to that effect. 96up RSs had 200hp V6s and ran mid 7 sec 0-60 and mid 15s stock, autos too. I know of no NA 2gnts that can "smoke" a 200hp RS. Beat or run with maybe. Back pressure is not good period. Too big=reduced velocity=no torque. If you maintain exhaust gas velocity with the proper size piping lack of back pressure will not cause you to lose any torque. smallish piping and free flowing muffler tend to work better than large piping and free flowing muffler NA, my personal unproven opinion.
