So I was doing a lot of searching and researching the last couple of days (something a lot of you noobs need to do). I was sitting on the shitter and pondering on my non mod set-up while defiling the porcelain god. I was so hyped, while constipated, to actually do another customize setup. I was going to drill out the rivets on my stock clutch so I can retain the use of the flywheel and clutch and just spend a couple hundred bucks on a ultra strong custom disk from racing dynamics or southbend. So I go into the garage hoping to find my blown out stock clutch that I kept cuz I felt that it will come into good use someday. So I'm searching all happy and ready to drill it out tonight. Guess what? No where to be found. Then I realized that my older bro suggested I threw it because it wasn't doing any good taking up space. I threw the motherfucker out last month. So after more researching, I'm not shit out of luck just yet. The modular cm4 utilizes a refurbish stock pressure plate and clutch. So guess what I'll be doing. Drilling out the rivets on the mod cm4. Looks like I'll still be paying less just for a disk. Thank you Matt, Jason and Nate for making all the threads on clutch. The search function worked for me. Matt, I'm gonna need your help though on purchasing a disk.

You could just send it off to CM or SPEC or someone and have them do the work if your lazy. But yeah, all you should need to do is drill out the rivits, resurface if it needs it, then pop in new disk, and rivit it back together.. i dont know why people get all pissy about modulars, saying you would have to buy a whole new unit when you burn it up...

I would suggest replacing the rivets with bolts, and drill/tap the flywheel...

I would not trust DIY rivets in a clutch...

How much is a new disc? I have a old Clutch MAsters stage 3 in the garage that I could have that done to. How much would the whole thing cost?

you know what fellas? Out of simplicity, I think I'm just gonna go with Neon flywheel. Do I have to get it resurfaced or stepped if I buy a brand new one?

DUDE. i have my stock clutch in the back of a truck about to toss in the trash hole. want it?

Having Problems? Heres my Three step solution to anything 2gnt related.
Step 1: Put down everything in your hands.
Step 2: Grab a lucky strike, Smoke it.
Step 3: Walk to the fridge, double fist some keystone ice, sit down in the shade, drink one beer, finish cigarette, drink other beer, roll a joint, smoke it, walk back to your problem, and in about 5 minutes the solution will come to you.
If not. Go here: here

If still nothing, your trying to hard. Start over at step 1.
