#10251, "1g/2g harness"

Has anyone compared the 6bolts harness withthe 7 bolt harness...I am referring tothe ECU side of the harness? i am looking at a 6bolt swap and thinking it would be betteroff o make the 1g ECU fit versus the CEL light that is a product of the 2g ECU.

You're going to splice into the harness to "possibly" get rid of a CE light you don't even know you'll have yet?
Why not just get DSMLink?

Jeff i seriously worry about the crank walking. Magnus and other claim the crankwalk is due to the oil squirter relocation that took place in late 94 from, the oil valley in the block to the mains. I guess it would just be easier to have the squirters moved that is an option too. I just saw a local memebers crank walk at the track (130,XXX mi) and i started thinking again.

As for the harnesses...i know i am getting ahead of myself but i like to prepare for all possibilities and have no surprises. Everyone i have talked to has had the CEl issue with their 6bolt swap (only a handful of people).

I am looking into a 2g awd right now and if i want it its mine, a friend has it. Its going to need some work but i figured why even waste my time just yank the motor and start the swap for a fall project, 1g are easy to find around me in junk yards and even if i have to buy one i am only looking at 2000.00 for a running solid car. As for why not just run DSM link...i figured i would be better of making the transition from factory ecu (with no CEL) to DSMlink with a motor i know is up to par. Besides i still doubt that DSmlink will fix it....everyone says it will.

for those of you that have D-Link how is it to run emmisions?

Don't worry about it unless it happens. People need to relax about the crankwalk.

Bearing failure can happen to any car. Racing a modified car with 130,000 miles can just be normal bearing failure.
