My buddy has a set of 18's that he had on his maxima.. i doubt that they would fit, but can anyone tell me for sure? I think they'd be too wide.. maybe even too high as well. I have 205/40/17's on it now.
Anyone know anyone who can help me tune this in the Pittsburgh area (Greensburg)?

it really depends on the width of the rim and offset. I have 18 x 8 with a 38mm offset and 225/40/18 tires. I have about 1/2" of clearence behind the tire and the outside of the tire is right on the edge of the fender. It actually hits the fender if i hit a hard bump. Im lowered on 2" Sprint springs and tokico blues. It sounds like they are gonna be a tight fit. a 245 tire is about 1 1/4" wider than a 225. Mount em up and give it a try...

If he'll let you try it, it can't hurt. I'd never buy them though w/o it b/c I'd say 99% chance, they won't fit. w/ 225/40/18's mine rubbed w/ ~2" drop. 245/45/18's are almost an inch wider and close to 2 inches taller. They'll rub for sure (in a corner). I'd bet they'll stick out somewhat too.

yeah.. i'm sure they're 45's. I set it next to the wheels I have on now and it seems like they're gonna be too tall.. and probably too wide too. Does anyone out there know anybody in western PA lookin for a good cheap set of 18's? He only wants $500 for them and they have brand new performance tires on them. I dont really need them i'm happy with my 17's but i just thought i'd help him out if i could.

I dunno how much of a difference there is between 245\40's and 245\45's but I have 245\40's on the back and they don't stick out at all, and my coilovers are bottomed out.
