On my way home from work just out of the blue i decided i wanted to bring my 95 ESi to the track and see what my 1/4 mile time would be. I have never street raced or Drag race before in my life so let me know what you think of my time slip and technique to improve it. The engine is bone stock no mods just a crappy air filter connected to the stock intake pipe and a fart can at the back.

should be faster than that. i am "nearly" stock now, only have cams, cam gears, UDP and catback and on bad runs ran these last night-
1st run R/T .627 60' 2.44 1/8 10.58@67 1/4 16.46@84
next run- VERY aggressive launch- 5k, light feather- almost ZERO spin R/T .845 60' 2.35<- YEA NO LOW END POWER AT ALL 1/8 10.40@67 1/4 16.22@85
last run- too greedy, 6k launch, some wheelspin, not excessive R/T .627 60' 2.50 1/8 10.56 1/4 16.39@85
car really made up some ground in 3rd gear, but 1st and 2nd were simply pathetic. even holding a 5k launch as you can see the bitch wouldn't move...cams without a CAI or header really dont do much for the low end. bad night. UGH.

Like i said it was my first time going to the track. I still have to learn how to shift quicker and launch better. I was launching at 3500 to 4000 didn't want to go to high and be spinning.

practice practice practice . . i think you can make up time if you get a better 60ft . . try slipping the clutch instead of dumping it . . maybe a lower rpm launch . . i'm hitting 2.3's with my fwd turbo . . it's not great but 2.2-2.3 is a good sixty foot for fwd . . make it a goal!!
