Hi my names Nate, i just bought a 95 Eagle Talon ESi, car has some issues. Speedo doesnt work, clutch chattering/tapping in all gears drove it home from robersonville, NC (61 miles)Saturday , pulls bad to the left. drove it to work monday, after work 1 mi from my house the pass balljoint separated and down i went. had it towed to the house, pulled wheels and discovered i need to replace all the suspension componets. Still for what i payed after initial repair/parts replacement i think it was still worth it.

Welcome to 2gnt! The balljoints were recalled in '98 or '99, if it hasn't been done you may be able to get them replaced through the dealer.

There are also full suspension kits listed on ebay for pretty affordable prices and they're name brand parts.

Let us know if there is anything we can do to help!

Thanks for the welcome and info Dino. I will check with the dealer to see if the recall has been completed.

Made a list, went to Advance, Ordered new pass CV axle (GSP), previous owner replaced driver axle (still looks new), ordered Upper Control Arm (Beck/Arnley); Lower Lateral control arm (Moog); Outer tie rod end (TSW). ordered the parts that were in the worst shape and what my budget could handle.

Installed all ordered parts $350. Torqued everything to specs as per Haynes Manual. Test drove, Talon feels much stiffer on pass side now. got a knock on drivers side, gonna have to piece this repair out, funds running low, not gonna buy crap though just to put it in. All joints look to be about in the same horrible condition. Probably gonna replace the lower lateral control arm first, because that's the one that gave up first on the pass side. replaced the outer tie rod end (TRW). Replaced (1) broken wheel stud in each rear wheel, second one went much faster than the first. All bushings in the rear knuckles look bad too, didn't see a part listing at Advance for any of the rear suspension parts except axle, rear sway bar link and wheel hub. After replacing both tie rod ends car only pulls slightly to the right now, not gonna bother with an alignment until i get all the parts replaced, would just b a waste of time otherwise(and money)

when changing my axle the book said to put a drip pan underneath to catch any fluid that leaked out. So i got all prepared to get wet and popped my old axle out and nada. Got a friend to run me to Advance to grab everything i needed for and oil/tranny fluid change. changed oil/filter. drained tranny fluid. There was less than 1/2 quart in there. Filled to 2.1 quarts with Castrol ATF+4 for Chrysler vehicles. Test drove and noise from tranny diminished quite a bit but still have a problem with what i think is the clutch pressure plate. clutch acts like it isn't engaging sometimes in first gear especially if setting on an incline during takeoff. Kinda of grinds and wont go. i can also feel a tapping through the clutch foot pedal.

..well while transferring my stereo equipment from my 04 Escape to my Talon I noticed a huge puddle of atf. Upon inspection found a hairline crack in the bellhousing just below the tranny drain plug a few inches long. I'm looking for a 5speed tranny for 420a nonturbo Talon ESi... probably gonna try and jb weld it up just till I can find and replace the tranny
