27, build up Q's Posted by Erik, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM I got a cheap short block and now I was wondering what is the best way to go for rods. I'm on the college budget and waiting on my Star stage I. I do have a starion intercooler. I think I'm going to get either JE pistons or I think HRC has some that are 8.8:1 comp. What's the low down with 1st G BIG ROD set-ups? Are these rods the same length as our's? Do 1st Gen rods fit? Thanks | |

Wiseco also makes some that are 8.5:1 as well. the one's HRC sells and uses are JE pistons. you can also go to www.raceeng.com for these pistons and for rods as well. That's where I got mine. They have a good price and are a godd shop located in Florida. The 1st gen rods you mention are for the 4G63 and not the 420A. We are the 1st gen 420A ;) | |
