109572, RE: Compressor housing leak Posted by SilvrEclips, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM Yes you remove that snap ring and there is a oring around the CHRA that seals the compressor housing. If you have enough room you can remove it on the car. That snap ring is beastly so be careful with it.
