i personally have not used any of the store bought kits, but know people that have and none of them worked all that well. what i did on mine was wet sanded it with 400-1500 grit wet sand paper then used 3m rubbing compound and a buffing wheel that you use after wet sanding the clear coat of a paint job. worked great on mine and the headlight looks crystal clear. you can also hit it with a finishing compound that removes and swirl marks left by the buffer.
