103049, My build Posted by 98_talon, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
heres my build
well heres the for this winter 1.remove engine and fix timing and clean it up a bit more 2.while engines out remove power steering, relocate battery,ECUand fuse box 3.shave everthing i dont need in the engine bay and clean it up sand and paint 4. make custom steering loop and breather so steering works as a manual steering rack and does not get water and dirt in there 5.once engine is reinstalled tuck wires and hope it runs again 6.some fiberglass work 7.remove airbags 8.install new steering wheel and quick release 9.relocate washer tank and coolent resvoir
well so far i got the engine hauled out the fuse box hauled out .ecu hauled out.The dash hauled out ,power steering removed and made the custom loop hose and breather, now just to find a spot to locate the fuse box around the dash and then lengthen every single wire that goes to it.then locate the ecu under the dash and lengthen every wire for that. pictures are not in oreder this time next time they will be
marking every wire we had to cut so we would not make a mistake putting back togather
loop and breather just have the get a longer hose to go to the breather
well got a lil more done not much
well heres the progress so far, will start sanding the engine bay and welding up bolt holes and shaving everthing.

let me get this straight, you're creating a false wall to hide everything that mounts to the firewall?
|
103103, RE: My build Posted by 98_talon, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
yes the only thing that mounts to it that you need to get to is the mastercylinder resivoir
|
103104, RE: My build Posted by RoninEclipse2G, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
I will be interested to see how that comes out

|
103303, RE: My build Posted by Fallen4ng31, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
Car looks good, keep it up. But, I don't see where you actually need a front splitter, especially since it's so far off the ground.
Oh, for god's sake man lose the Euro-tails; It's just my opinion, but, they look goofy.
|
103307, RE: My build Posted by 95eclipse420A, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
SO when did Full Throttle start making covers for ecu Harness plugs? Thats bitchin...lol. Whats worse is that no one else noticed it yet. Oh well, looks good so far. Keep it up.

103308, RE: My build Posted by 98_talon, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM

103315, RE: My build Posted by 98_talon, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
i want to hit 500whp here in a few years
|
103316, RE: My build Posted by ThePerfectShift, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
I think you have a little thing called OCD, my friend. However it translates into amazing work and you have one hell of a good start on yor project. I can't wait til i can buy another Daily Driver and get the eclipse off the road. I generally do not like body kits but I have been eyeing that BC2 for a while, though I think I'd leave the splitter off. I vote for keeping the tails but painting the funky center section black. That would be sex. Good work and I am really curious how you're planning to get to 500WHP while N/A. I'd like to see it.
|

Viper engine conversion. LOL
honestly I would like to see those plans as well. Mark has only managed around 220 after years and years of work.

103330, RE: My build Posted by FunkDocta, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
Its looking real good wish I knew how to mess around with wires like that. Cant wait to see it finished, I might use this as a how to guide when messing around with the interior.

I forgot to mention, I've owned a 80's Nissan sentra with the same odometer, read out 260/kh.
I did get pulled over doing 60 in 45 zone, the cop freaked out when he saw my odometer and wrote me a huge fine. I told him car from canada its in kh, he didn't care.
|
103326, RE: My build Posted by 98_talon, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM

|
103369, RE: My build Posted by 98_talon, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
well more work done
On the fiberglass peice on the passenger side will be 2 caps for the cooloant overflow and the windsheild washer tank and the one on the drivers will have some companies painted on it
|
103375, RE: My build Posted by eclipse982nrRST, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
I like the idea and look of the fiberglass cover for the firewall, however, I think your getting out of hand with all the 'covers' on the driver and passenger side IMO. I just think its going to look more like a Mercedes bay then a 2g.
