Not sure what a carfax would net you, maybe a dealer service indication or something broad so you can at least find the state it is in, from there, maybe the local DMV has a procedure for finding a registered owner.

If I find it I'm going to get it back. License plate was F63NWH texas plate. My new daily driver will do until I find her again ;)
