Send your story to any and all tv stations, newspapers, bloggers, consumer advocates etc. that you can. Work the Mother/daughter angle heavy

I thought about working the media, but I don't think I'm at that point yet. I think I can easily be painted as the "bad guy" in this situation if I run to the media now, before (in their position) we had a chance to "resolve this issue". The funny thing is that while I may "play up" something like the mother/daughter angle to get my way on something else (in say another situation), this is an actual and sincere position. They have screwed around with something, they can't replace; healing time. Honestly, my wife is the kind of person that will think fondly of her mom every time she gets in that car. Its their connection (shit I actually tear up a little at times, just writing this, lol).

Also, keep in mind that I'm real sure that I can get my deposit back, but that puts us right back at square one and further into the fall/winter to get her another car. If we knew what was going on sooner, I would not be backed up against a wall like I am now. I guess a real easy cash deal was too hard for them to pass up.

When you send out the story to the media, shorten it up considerably. Put the cliff notes at the top, if they loose interest before they get 2 paragraphs in then it wont work .

Yup, I knew when I was writing the letter that, if it was too long, they would lose in interest (regardless of their position in the story). That's why I wrote the Ciff notes. But I put them at the end so I may have a better shot at the person who receives the letter.

A friend of mine is a writer over at GM Insider News. He's going to make sure GM Customer Service hears about this situation Monday. Will advise.

You're a good man Charlie Brown. I can't tell you how much I appreciate your help in this one. Don't know if it helps, but maybe be sure that they know it is currently on two national car enthusiasts sites (and, knowing me, will probably be on more in due time).

If it matters, I am going to start sending these out today. Obviously, time is a consideration on this.
