It's like a zit. Just squeeze it until it pops, and then it will heal.
Seriously, though, get reimbursement from the municipality where this pothole was. They **should** be liable.

exactly, my friend drove through downtown chicago and bent all 4 of his rims in many spots. it was a long process, but the city paid for new ones

Around here, if you have damage due to a pothole/etc., you have to call the city, tell them about it, and if it is still not fixed in like a day or so, then call back, say your car was damaged, and say you have filed a complaint before about the pothole, then they will usually do somethin...

Not all municipalities will cover road damage. Good insurance will. City and county of Virginia Beach...by driving on city/county roads you are waiving any claim against the municipality for damage to your vehicle due to road hazards. there was a lady driving down a main road when a traffic signal fell of it's mount right onto her hood. City refused to pay under that statute. Court backed it and her car was a total loss. Again, check insurance. Liability only? TRY to afford good comp collision. Saved my ass many times! Broken windshield from Salt truck, replaced! etc....

I would really suggest that as soon as you see a bubble it is time to start looking for a new tire. They are pretty unpridictable in that. Could go for a long or short time and the let go. Usually at the worst possible time! Best bet, as soon as you notice it, replace!

just make sure your spare(if you have one) has air in it and you have a jack and tools, cause some morning on your way to work, your going to hit a pothole and finish her off, hehe... been there, done that

Thats why you should check your tire pressure often, to many people fill them with way to much air. The max doesnt me fill it to the max.

Yes, tire pressure is a good thing to check. btw, did you get your tires from a major store? I used to work for Perfection Tire, in the northwest. I know we sold a $5 "road hazard" warranty just for shit like that. btw, get that thing off of there and replaced asap. those bubbles don't fly. You never know when they are gonna go, not too mention the outcome of when it does. you lost one tire, you don't want to mess up a wheel too.
