OK, here's how it works...

The ABS sensors are just Vehicle Speed Sensors on each wheel...
By comparing one of the driven wheels, to one of the undriven wheels (comparing the speed, and accel) you can see if your losing traction on the driven wheels.. and do something about it :)

You can retard the ignition, and reduce boost if you have boost control...
also possible are other things.. ;)
