5299, Questions about the Hahn Portfueler system

Hi, I have contacted Hahn and I have a totally rebuilt engine and they recommended me to get an MSD ignition box to controll spark timing. I have MSD wires, MSd coil pack and NGK performance spark plugs. My question is this with a T3/T4 turbo running 20 psi will I need an aftermarket ignition box? If I dont have one will my engine grenade or be a catastrophe not to have one?

Yes you should be pulling timing for anything over 15psi. If the motor does encounter knock, the knock sensor will detect this and pull timing. With that said the ECU will protect your motor to an extent but always pull several degrees of timing to reduce knock which will hurt your power.

You could also run MS for spark control
