98539, Timing Question.
Posted by eclipse982nrRST, Dec-31-69 06:00 PM
Okay I got everything put back together today, had to put the Crane turbo cams back in cuz the machine shop couldnt save the stockers, but oh well. Anyway, I went to start it up and it just cranked again, but I could deffinately tell by the sound of it cranking that one of the cams is 180 out. I did the good old one up one down with the AEM cam gears, but one is obviously out of time.

My question is, how do I tell which cam is out? Is there a way to check or something?

When I rotated my 2 revolutions to check my timing marks, it rotated okay, no valves touching the pistons, but I am positive its out.

So anywho, does anyone know a way to check to see which cam is out, or should I just rotate one of the two cams 180 in?
