Ive got a driver side seat belt that needs to be replaced and a extra pasenger side seat belt I need to take the strap out of and put in the driver side bracket. But I don't see any way of taking the strap off the locking mechanism any ideas please?

Pretty sure it's sewn on. I wouldn't mess with modifying seat belts personally.

See if you can buy an actual drivers side belt and sell the spare pass. one. It would be terrible if you got in an accident and your sew job tore open.
