As optimistic as I am, I don't think you have a chance at beating him in a heads up race. If you've
never been to the track, you don't know what you have to prepare for. It took me years to get where I am now. My brother's been racing longer than me and still has shitty reaction times. You'll see when you're sitting the the staging lanes for the first time, just waiting for the line to roll, then finally lining up and looking down the track. You'll see. My heart's pounding already thinking about it.
