Any and ALL motor swaps in an eclipse are going to be either way to difficult or way too stupid to achieve. If you SERIOUSLY want an Eclipse hybrid, and you don't car about how difficult or how crazy the instal might be, here are a few suggestions

1. passenger seated EVO motor (4g63)with a GS Spyder tranny
2. Avenger v6 motor (6g73) with an avenger or 3g eclipse tranny
3. Japan spec galant motor (6A13) with ? tranny
4. gst (4g63) motor (or any 4g series motor just about) (with custom piping and all the stupid essentials) with GS spyder tranny
5. 3kgt motor (6g72) with 6g73 motor mount and 3g tranny
6. 3g (6g72)motor and tranny

notice....these are just a few ideas to think about, and I personally consider all of these options either WAY too costly, WAY too time consuming, WAY too unreliable, WAY too big, or WAY too stupid to do. your best option would really be to get another DSM spec 420 and build it for turbocharging.
