Well, when I put the trans back in, I managed to puncture my outer cv boot. I noticed grease inside my wheel, and the outer (drivers side) boot was the source. Go figure, the axle that I had to grind 1/8" off to make it fit in the diff.

So I got a reman. axle from autozone. Spent a good hour on the grinder, taking breaks to make sure it didn't get to hot. Eventually I got it to seat in the differential perfectly. Have driven it daily for about a week now, leak free :-) YAY!
