I switched to a spec stage 3 clutch and flywheel. I think there is a big difference plus if something breaks just fix that peice. Or u can try a centerforce clutch that's modular thats the only one they offer.

So, when searching for a clutch, what am I looking for? A clutch for a 95 Neon that's non-modular?

Or any clutch that is listed as non-modular for Neons/Eclipses.

Ok so I have read the posts and have utilized the search bar. Im not asking for additional information, just a summary. So, I have a 97 Eclipse GS NT 2.0 FWD. I am going to very soon (this weekend actually) put in a new transmission. Its from a 97 Talon NT. In order for me to use a NON-MOD clutch assembly, I have to only purchase the bolts from the 95 Neon to bolt it up. Or the whole 95 Neon clutch assembly? And if so will it even bolt up to that trani. IMO i would think it would since its the same trans, right?

Again im sorry if information has already been answered. I apologize but i can only access the internet when im at work, and we're not even supposed to be doing person stuff while we're here so i have to be quick and secretive so i might have missed over my answer

All your questions can be answered by doing some searching, and I think there is even a wiki on this topic that covers everything.

If you want a quick summary, here you go. All you need are the longer flywheel bolts from a neon, a non modular clutch kit which will include the pressure plate, disc, and throwout bearing, and a non modular flywheel. That's it.

I know you didn't ask for any suggestions, and I am not sure what your power goals are, but I would recommend the Fidanza flywheel and either a Clutchmasters or Southbend clutch kit.

Right, I already read that, but i just wanted to make sure that its ok for me to buy (what i intended) an exedy clutch and ACT streetlite Fly for the eclipse and bolt it up using the Neons flywheel bolts.

Im not trying to be repetitive or a swamp the forums, its just i want to ask my exact question and have someone who knows what they're talking about tell me yes or no you can do that. Or assume im correct when i read all the information, ya know.

Again thanks for the replies.

^^ That MAY cause a problem for you. MAY.

ACT has a habit of using its own step height. I guess to be sure that you use all of their products :shrug You might be wise to call them to verify that they do indeed use the stock step height for our cars.

Just to be sure.

Thanks I appreciate that. I would of never even thought of that. But in general though i can buy a non mod setup for the trans i have and all i have to do is buy the neon bolts, right?
