4648, Cant turn crank with tranny attached

Im posting this for some people from my local car scene. There is a 98 Eclipse being worked on at a shop. For whatever reason, the owner felt the original motor wasnt good enough, and bought a stage 2 slowboy racing 420A. Im not sure if the shop pulled the motor and trans or just the motor. Now that the slowboy motor is in, they can turn the motor over by hand until they bolt the tranny up. After its bolted up, they have to pretty much jump up and down on a breaker bar attached to the crank bolt to get the motor to budge. They burned up a starter trying to start it before they figured out it was sticking. Any thoughts?

if he removed the TC, it must be installed correctly as mark pointed out. 3 clicks. If it's not installed correctly, your ATX will suffer the same fate of tim's previous ATX. In other words, the ATX front pump will be damaged or broken and without a functional fluid pump, well, you know what happens.

BTW, i've never been able to install a flexplate on backwards. The 8 bolt holes only line up one way. I believe they designed it that way
