Hey all since the weather is starting to lighten up a bit we need to organize a meet. Its been a while to say the least.

I am thinking possibly the weekend of the 15th or the 22nd. Here are the things we need to figure out....

Which weekend or suggest another date

Saturday or Sunday

Day or Evening

Location (Shawnee Mission Park, Hooters, or KCIR are all popular locations, but I am not sure when KCIR will open up)

I want a pretty good turnout at this one. Not just 2 or 3 cars. Lets get pretty organized so that everyone can make it.

There are a few guys from the KC area that I have yet to meet. Hope we can work something out.

I'm down. The later the date, the better the car will be. I have a bunch of crap to do to it, but I'll show no matter what--even in the mini-van if I have to! Also the closer to South Overland Park, the better since it's been $1.83 a gallon for 91 oct!!! Could you imagine if we go to war? $5 a gallon for pee water and the turbo kit will be 4sale!!!(mmm...maybe not)

HELL YEAH!!!!!! I"m totally down, i agree that closer to o.p. the better. I live like around 95th and mission rd. But also lets do a friday or sunday cuz i work on saturdays x( anyways, for sure lets do it sometime in the near future,

I work on Saturdays also typically from 6am-2pm. Sunday is better, but I'll work around whatever.

Sunday works well for me also, so its sounding like that might be the day. Still looking for replies from Chip and Ryan and a few others.

Lets make it Sunday, March 16th weather permitting. Right now on weather.com it says its gonna be 73 degrees but I think they are full of shit since I got my hopes up about yesterday (Saturday) being close to 60 and it was freakin cold.

We will do it at Shawnee Mission Park. I will try to reserve a spot for us just incase everyone has the same idea. Hopefully it will be a nice dry day so we can get some good pics. I would like to get some pics of everyones car so try to have em cleaned up. I may do a little profile on my web page for everyone including pics, mods, ect.

Anyhow the only things that will postpone this will be rain or temps below 50 so make sure you check back here. Now what time should we look at??

I think 1 would be best for me. A bbq sounds good to me. I am basically up for anything. Weather is the definitive factor. Now only to get my springs and udp on by then.

What kind of soda does everyone drink...(Erik = DEW) I was thinkin I will bring soda, hamburger meat, cheese, buns, and charcoal for the event. So if people could bring chips, hotdogs, hotdog buns, and whatever else we should be all set.

We need a definite count on how many people will be there by Friday at the latest. Feel free to bring firends and family....The more the marrier.

16th at 1 or 3 is definately cool with me, i can also bring any food etc. and if anyone has been needing a tool or any material or anything you'd find at a hardware store i can bring it for ya since i work at one.

Bring whom ever you want...Like I said the more the marrier. I was looking at the park map today and to actually reserve a shelter is like $35....I was thinking screw that!! We can just meet by the big lookout tower like we have done in the past but I am npt sure there is a BBQ around there. I will drive down there tomorrow and check it out. I will decide on a good place by tomorrow afternoon.

Hey man, whatever. I'm down for anything. Don't forget to include directions--it's been awhile since I have been to SM park and I know the guys coming from down by me won't know shawnee all too well. Just remind me what needs to be brought. I think that BBQ is still hella cheaper than hooters or any restaraunt.

Its been awhile since ive been there. prolly a good 8-10 years. So following someone that knows where they are going or having a map would help. I can also bring stuff. Just let me know what is needed.

Well, I have to work now at 6am on Sat. in KC. I can make 1pm on Sunday. I can give directions to my parents' house and you can meet me there and then follow me to SM park. There's a McDonalds, a giant open lot, and bunch of other crap right off 69hwy and 151st St. exit that I can meet you at, so you don't have to go "house hunting" to find the parents' house.

Since we are all comming from different parts of the city/state I am gonna point everyone to www.mapquest.com to find your way. The park is located at I-435 and 87th St.

Once in the park you can use this map to find your way.

Well after reading through the site for Shawnee Mission Park it says you are not allowed to use thier facilities without paying for the shelter. It will cost $35 for a half days rental. It says you will need to have the receipt available incase a ranger comes by because he will make you vacate the shelter if you have not paid.

Also its more if you live outside of Johnson County which I do so I would need someone to get the shelter that lives over there. If we do it I think either shelter 6 would be the best one but 5 or 7 would also work.

Would everyone be willing to chip in a couple of bucks for the shelter if we have to get one??

I can chip in. Have we looked into public parks? For example, there's a park right off the 69 highway and 151st st exit that is free, and has first come first serve. I'm down either way, but let's at least get a show of hands of who will be a definate show so people know how much to bring. (Avoiding 3 guys paying $10 each)

Well, the oil pan is off. Hopefully I'll get it put back together with nice fittings and in NON-LEAKING order. I'm also fixing the broken rear exhaust hanger and maybe have time to put some of the ES motor mounts in and rewire the fuel pump. Well, back to work now.

Its supposed to be really warm and partly cloudy that day. Hopefully the weather people might be right for once.

The weather hasta be better then tonight. We were in a severe thunderstorm warning for about 2 hours, part of that time it was a Tornado Warning. Crazy shit. I hope i dont have any hail damage. Well it looks as if ill have my springs and udp installed by sunday. Saturday is gonna be a busy day. Have to install a system into a corolla. then hafta take care of my car.

If anything else needs to be taken care of I can bring sumpin. I dont wanna be the only one that doesnt. So let me know if there is anything whatsoever that is needed for the bbq.

So far the consensus is saying that its gonna be partly cloudy and high 60s - low 70s. Chance of rian and storms in the evening.

So hopefully it will hold off till later in the evening when our meet is over. Yeah we had some pretty heavy storms last night too. Lots of hail and rain. It was cool to have real T-storms again.

I got probs. The fittings I bought to redo the oil return won't fit past my funkin DP!!! I have to be at work by 6 am Sat. morning too. Does anybody know where I can get AN fittings off the shelf or same day in KC? If so, I'll drive back to Pitt Saturday night and put the car back together and come up on Sunday. At least I'm spring break now.

Hey guys I just got off of work. I just found out that I have to go to work Sunday @ 11 because Monday is St. Pattys day (WTF). I work at a bar/grill called Clancy's and gues what its an IRISH bar/gril. I just started there about a week or two ago and I don't want to call in sick since I've only been in there like a total of 5 times....What I'm geting at... I can't be there for Sundays meet. I'm sorry guys, a guy (Sorry, I can't recall your name) was supposed to bring me a TPS so I could see if it fixes my car and Chad was going to bring me that polished heat shiled... and I was really so excited to come but MY FUCKING WORKS SUCKS MY NUTS!
