Got the turbo out on the local dragday. Just wanted to get some break in runs. No hard launches (2.0's to 2.2's range). No speed shifts. Got a few runs in. Started off with a 13.241 (didn't even go in the water box). Best run of 12.438 (had a heads up race so I put a little into it).

Slip:

Meh, not too bad for the stocker cams and 20ish pounds. Got an idea now of where I need to go. Figure this current set-up and tune is good for high 11's.

Appreciate it guys. Looks to be just about where I figured she would be. Its falling together nicely.

I'm running the 3.55 tranny. With my set-up I still don't get out of 3rd. Even now with the turbo, I'm kinda between gears, lol. But I got an 8100 redline on her. With the W/A set-up (as long as I remember to switch it on, LOL) I'm not feeling/noticing any heat soak up top.

Nice Mark, I've been waiting to hear about this. Can't wait to see you push it (I'm planning on getting to see whichever one you bring to next years shootout) :D

PT Cruiser valve train
1mm Indy (?) valves
Mario Port and Polish
STOCK cams
OBX Intake

Nice reaction time guy, it won’t be much longer till you have your own pit crew and sponsors knocking on your doors. :thumbsup

Won't happen, lol. I've already been contacted by a couple of vendors about sponsorship and I declined. I might test their parts but I hate being controlled. For those who have seen me at the track, they know that I'm a controlled looney :nuts . Just doesn't work with sponsorships.

And thanks for noticing Rafiel. I like to think that when it comes to it, I can pop it out of the hole on time. The guy who ran me, had been running faster than me all day long so he thought he had a chance and challenged me, lol. Nah.

Just to be clear, I still have the NA (ran it that day). But I also added in my daily driver (96 RS) that is now turbo.

I believe he was guessing you were driving the turbo against someone else who was piloting your N/A. BTW, fuel rail will go out in the morning, I spent lunch on the phone with mitsu regarding some BS with the evo.

Ah, got it. If only I could race myself.....nah, I'd cheat and sandbag one of the runs, lol.

My sister fianlly got the vids up.

This is the first of the day. No water pit, no launch, short shifting I believe that was a 13.24 (hey, she tried)

And here's the fastest of the day (12.4@117) The guy thought he could beat me this time (we have had, over the years, a friendly rivalry. He couldn't beat the NA, but he had put something into her that he thought he could beat the turbo now, lol. All in fun). You guys try and figure out what that car is.

Thanks again Corey

lol at the song in video number 2 I cant jam that in my car. I tried but failed miserably, lmao. What kind of clutch is that? If it’s the pt cruiser how much torque can it take before it fails?

That's the mix and match clutch. Neon flywheel, Clutchnet 6 puck for a turbo dodge, Clutchnet "red" PP for an audi/VW. It is rated around 450tq. I really wanted to test and see how high she would go, but the test is kinda queered because I now have over 9k on the clutch (but no slipping issues).

Good luck on taking that the old school 10.7. I have no doubt that you can do it.

Edit: Get some cams in that thing!

Actually they are the stocker 14's with the thinnest tire I could find. Pumped up to 55lbs, lol.

As for the car, its a turbo'ed Lex. Kid says he's coming for me next drag day. He's got even more power now (lol, we'll see).

Borg Warner 366 "extended tip" with 86 A/R. The same brand turbo that Rau and Kiggly run.

117 is good for 11 sec. slips with traction and suspension.

Hella good running car man, 420a can make power.

Kudos, I'm sure that thing is a rowdy mfer on the highway.

Tell me about it man! I'm dying to get to the track but just not quite set-up yet. Should be there soon (if the rest of my family's cars don't stop using up my time, lol).

Appreciate the support Remdawg.
